Raji Manjari Pokhrel (she/they) grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal. She began her narrative practices journey in 2018 in Bombay and is very excited to be part of this diploma and continuing on this journey of listening, loitering and becoming. Raji loves to do collaborative work using narrative practices and somatics to envision queer ways of being. She is forever grateful for her education and know-how of the world to the Nepali & Tibetan speaking domestic and elder care workers’ community in Queens, New York, who taught her to see emotional labor otherwise rendered invisible in everyday life.
In 2019, Raji and her housemates/parents Suneeta and Gopal started आज Cafe, a space dedicated to emotional wellbeing. आज is named after Aastik and Justin, our dearest friends. Aaja is an attempt to re-member and surround us with all the influences that Aastik and Justin have in our lives.
