Chai, Kappi and Jugaad
International Conference of Narrative Practices, Mental Health and Community Well-Being
January 16 to 19 2025
Puducherry (Pondicherry), India
Chai, Kappi and Jugaad is a celebration of the everydayness of our lives. The dismissed and delegitimised mundane ‘little’ things that communities and people do very often in their everyday lives are precious. They are entry points into territories of rich knowledges passed on for many generations as ways to celebrate life.
Chai, Kappi and Jugaad will be a space of sharing, documenting and celebrating these ‘little’ things. Things as little as making chai for oneself in the quiet of your kitchen or sharing a cutting with a friend over tears, laughter or silences.
We welcome you to this celebration of our everyday stories of doing love, relentless hoping and practising accountability.
At the International Conference of Narrative Practices, Mental Health and Community Well Being – 2025 we bring together voices from diverse contexts across India and different parts of the globe to share everyday stories of resistance through little – big ways of using the narrative ideas and practices in responding to mental health and community well-being.
