Ms. Biju Kandel is a passionate professional and dedicated women’s rights activist with ten years of experience. She is a reflexive practitioner, with a history of reflecting on her work in community organizing and development, and more recently in peace building and conflict transformation, working with victims/survivors of the conflict. Recently, Ms. Kandel has been working with the narrative of women conflict survivors of Nepal’s ten-year-long armed conflict. 
She enjoys listening to the stories of people, which gives her power, empathy, energy, and hope for her life. She believes that everyone has a story that matters; and we should listen to people's experiences without any judgment. 
Ms. Kandel has experience of working with rural women network called Rashtriya Mahila Adhikar Manch and has been doing advocacy to ensure the rights of rural women. She has a master’s degree in Rural Development from Tribhuwan University and is currently working in the capacity of Project Coordinator in The Story Kitchen.
